Outpatient Gastroenterology - Full Time NP/PA
About The Position
This is a full-time Outpatient Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant role. The position is outpatient-only with no nights or weekends required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with 4.5 clinic days per week and 0.5 dedicated administrative time per week. There is one inpatient holiday per year expected for call. The patient volume is approximately 14 patients per day. Training and support will be provided for PEG tube exchanges. The practice environment is at the Kenilworth office, with a team of 8 physicians and 5 APPs on-site, and a larger group of 27 physicians and 27 APPs across the practice. The role offers supportive leadership, experienced colleagues, and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a growing metropolitan area.
Requirements
- Certified Physician Assistant or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- North Carolina licensure (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of APP experience required (no new grads)
- Interest in general gastroenterology; subspecialty interests welcomed
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient gastroenterology care to adult patients
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and APP colleagues
- Participate in team-based care delivery and clinical coordination
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience
