About The Position

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking an integrated outpatient clinician to provide co-occurring mental health and substance use services to clients in Granite City or Belleville, Illinois. The clinician supports clients in self-directed recovery and delivers integrated behavioral health services using trauma-informed, evidence-based practices. Chestnut Health Systems provides integrated behavioral and primary health care, substance use and mental health treatment, and conducts research and training across the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of supervised mental health experience.
• Obtain Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification within two years of hire.
• Willingness to be trained in Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) and obtain CRA certification within three months following training.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and an electronic medical record.

• Help consumers regain control over their lives through self-directed recovery.
• Promote the recovery model of treatment, including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health and wellness, and spirituality and connectedness.
• Use evidence-based practices focused on individual, family, and group therapy.
• Link clients to community resources, including DCFS, probation and parole, courts, medical care, and natural supports.
• Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and with the community to sustain a favorable program reputation.
