About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking an Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join its Department of Psychiatry. The department provides behavioral health care across a full continuum, from emergency evaluation and intensive care to partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, homecare, and skilled nursing facility consultation. Services include inpatient care, short-term individual, couples, family, and group therapy, and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. The department includes more than 30 psychiatrists and 120 mental health professionals, as well as residency and fellowship programs. Psychiatrists work collaboratively with psychologists, physician assistants, certified registered nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, and occupational therapists. The position offers the opportunity to shape a role across areas such as inpatient psychiatry, consultation/liaison psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, and child/adolescent psychiatry, with mentorship and professional development opportunities. The role is onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and has a day shift. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified and hold, or be able to obtain, a Pennsylvania medical license.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric care as part of LVHN’s Department of Psychiatry.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team to support patient outcomes.
The position may be designed around one or more of the following areas: inpatient psychiatry, consultation/liaison psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, or child/adolescent psychiatry.
