About The Position

Outlet Store Associate at Franz Bakery supports customers and store operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store; answering questions; and providing pleasant customer service. The role processes sales and opening and closing transactions accurately and in accordance with Franz policies and procedures. Employees may be assigned any workday from Monday through Sunday and hours based on store scheduling needs. A set schedule of days, shifts, and/or weekly hours is based solely on seniority. The position offers $21.50 per hour, paid weekly, along with growth and development opportunities, holiday and vacation benefits, and a discount on Franz products.

Requirements

Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Have reliable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts.
Demonstrate a positive work ethic and be safety-oriented and reliable.
Be able to maneuver large, bulky racks and regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
Be able to perform bookkeeping, inventory, and ordering tasks.
Support and adhere to Franz Core Values.
Have at least three months of recent cash-handling experience.
Be able to join the union upon hire.

Responsibilities

Answer customer questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selections as appropriate.
Itemize and total merchandise selections at checkout using a cash register and make correct change.
Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items for restocking or ordering.
Stock and restock shelves, racks, cases, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
Sort merchandise received from depots and prepare it for in-store sale.
Clean display cases, shelves, floors, and aisles.
Perform routine bookkeeping tasks to record daily transactions according to established procedures.
Open the store or secure it upon closure as directed to support safe store operations.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
