This role is a vital part of delivering an elevated dining experience, ensuring every guest interaction reflects our commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and personality. The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing prompt, polished, and personalized service while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality. The Server is instrumental in creating memorable moments by anticipating guest needs, executing service with precision, and acting as a subject matter expert on all aspects of the restaurant and fine dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Restaurant Service Operations with a focus on consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and confidently suggestive-sell menu items, beverages, and specials to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
  • Serve food and beverages with timeliness, accuracy, and presentation that aligns with Hard Rock standards.
  • Accommodate special requests whenever possible and proactively resolve guest concerns using established property procedures.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, food allergens, wine lists, and beverage offerings.
  • Remain knowledgeable about property amenities, hours of operation, in-house events, and outlets in order to better assist guests and promote the full Hard Rock Hotel New York experience.
  • Ensure the restaurant environment remains immaculate at all times, including tables, service stations, décor, lighting, music, and memorabilia.
  • Set up, stock, maintain, and break down side stations, beverage stations, condiments, china, glassware, silverware, and linens.
  • Process payments accurately following POS and cash-handling procedures, reconcile transactions at the end of each shift, maintain a balanced bank, and ensure all checks are closed out properly.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service laws and regulations while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and Band Members.
  • Participate in Sound Check meetings, department trainings, and property meetings to stay aligned with service standards, new programs, and brand initiatives.
  • Execute all responsibilities with precision, professionalism, and an elevated sense of hospitality that ensures loyalty to both the property and the Hard Rock brand.
