About The Position

The Outdoor Sand Plant Laborer supports daily production at a sand processing plant in an active industrial setting. This is hands-on outdoor work for people with experience working outdoors around heavy equipment and performing full shifts on industrial sites. The schedule is four days on and four days off, with 12-hour shifts on days or nights. Weekends and holidays are worked as scheduled.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
• Availability for 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy tools, materials, and equipment, and to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a consistent commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
• Previous experience in an outdoor or labor-intensive role, such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, road work, warehouse, or mining.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a sand, aggregate, mining, or other heavy industrial plant.
• Experience operating a skid steer, manlift, telehandler, or track hoe.
• Basic knowledge of occupational safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, dig, lift, and move material throughout the plant and yard.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
• Safely and effectively operate hand tools and power tools.
• Operate skid steers, manlifts, telehandlers, and track hoes once trained and authorized.
• Support routine upkeep and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Assist operators, tradespeople, and maintenance personnel with assigned tasks.
• Follow safety policies, wear required PPE, and promptly report hazards.
