At Skaalen Retirement Services, our Outdoor Maintenance Technicians help keep our 100+ acre campus safe, beautiful, and welcoming for our residents, families, and staff.
Requirements
- Someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors
- Reliable, motivated, and dependable
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in various weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Previous maintenance, landscaping, construction, or groundskeeping experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, gardens, and outdoor spaces
- Perform snow removal, salting, and ice control during winter months
- Maintain sidewalks, parking lots, roads, and outdoor common areas
- Complete maintenance and repair requests in resident condos
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
- Operate mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Complete preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive campus
