About The Position

Skaalen Retirement Services is seeking an Outdoor Maintenance Technician for a full-time, year-round position in Stoughton, WI. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, solving problems, and taking pride in maintaining beautiful grounds. The technician will be responsible for the upkeep of a 100+ acre campus, ensuring it remains safe, beautiful, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff. The position offers a variety of tasks, with seasonal adjustments to the schedule as needed, ensuring no two days are the same.

Requirements

• Enjoys working both indoors and outdoors
• Reliable, motivated, and dependable
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in various weather conditions

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver's license preferred
• Previous maintenance, landscaping, construction, or groundskeeping experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, landscaping, gardens, and outdoor spaces
• Perform snow removal, salting, and ice control during winter months
• Maintain sidewalks, parking lots, roads, and outdoor common areas
• Complete maintenance and repair requests in resident condos
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
• Operate mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment, and other maintenance tools
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive campus
