About The Position

Lightspeed is looking for a highly motivated Outbound Sales Development Representative to join our North American Outbound Sales team. You’ll help drive revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads for SMB and mid-market retail clients, acting as the first point of contact and helping empower retailers. Our Outbound team is in hyper-growth mode, and we need a driven, strategic, and energetic individual who is passionate about helping larger retail businesses grow. Requirements

  • 1+ years of sales or customer facing experience
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions to multiple stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy, strategic, and comfortable navigating sales accounts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, bias toward action, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-growing business.
  • Fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience in SaaS outbound sales, preferably with SMB or mid-market retail clients.
  • Ability to cold-call, email, and engage SMB and mid-market stakeholders in complex sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with POS systems or other software platforms in large organizations.
  • Experience with consultative selling approaches such as MEDDPICC or BANT.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospecting SMB and mid-market retail accounts via phone, email, social media, and other outbound channels.
  • Reaching out to different stakeholders to understand their challenges and build strong relationships.
  • Collaborating with Account Executives to ensure smooth lead handoff and strategic follow-up.
  • Providing feedback to marketing and sales teams based on prospect conversations to help refine outbound strategies.
  • Consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual outbound sales goals in a high-velocity environment.
