About The Position

The basic function of this role is to receive incoming materials, perform the necessary computer transactions, and ensure an orderly and timely movement of parts from receipt to shipment to customer. This role will also manage customer accounts to ship material in a timely manner. GRI Engineering & Development, LLC, a proud member of MAT Holdings, Inc., is expanding operations and opening a new distribution center in Shannon, Mississippi. Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Experience working in a warehouse
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to communicate with carriers via the telephone
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts
  • Computer experience, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Dotcom or E-commerce experience is a plus
  • SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials
  • Perform necessary computer transactions
  • Ensure orderly and timely movement of parts from receipt to shipment to customer
  • Manage customer accounts to ship material in a timely manner
  • Create shipping documents such as Bills of Lading and shipping labels using SAP
  • Maintain daily changes to account shipping schedules
  • Answer telephone calls in a timely manner, direct calls and take messages
  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate offices
  • Perform routine clerical functions such as logging, recording and filing as assigned
  • Document all appropriate information promptly and clearly
  • Operate self-sufficiently and desire to learn new processes
  • Other duties as assigned
