Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- IL State License in Occupational Therapy
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate the student population; implement and interpret diagnostic test materials; and complete paperwork requirements for initial evaluations, annual reviews, and three year re-evaluations.
- Develop and implement appropriate occupational therapy goals for assigned students in the School program in collaboration with the IEP team.
- Provide direct treatment in a one-on-one and group setting and maintain daily notes on student progress toward IEP goals.
- Frequently monitor sensory programs utilized in the classroom and consult with teachers on best programming for students.
- Assist in teaching and modeling for staff appropriate sensory integration techniques and proactive strategies to meet students' sensory needs.
