About The Position

ASI Government provides government leaders with the expertise they need to navigate acquisition and organizational challenges so they can make an impact and achieve their goals. For over 30 years, ASI has transformed the way government does business, impacting over 70 government agencies across the civilian, defense, and intelligence communities. ASI Government is building a team of Other Transaction (OT) and Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) practitioners to support NAVSUP’s growing OT/CSO capability. The Education SME will design and deliver the training that turns NAVSUP’s acquisition workforce, program managers, legal staff, and leadership into confident OT/CSO practitioners — connecting classroom instruction to the real-world experience being built in the Norfolk pilot office. ASI Government serves as a trusted adviser to government leaders seeking improved performance, enhanced organization effectiveness, and strategic change.

Requirements

  • Practical, hands-on experience with Other Transaction Agreements and/or Commercial Solutions Openings.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training or curriculum to adult professional audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex acquisition concepts for varied audiences, from frontline contracting staff to senior executives.
  • Strong facilitation and public speaking skills.
  • Based in the Washington, DC metro area, with willingness to travel to NAVSUP Headquarters (Mechanicsburg, PA) and the Norfolk, VA pilot office as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience developing curriculum for a defense or federal acquisition training organization (e.g., WarAU, formerly DAU).
  • DAWIA Contracting certification (or equivalent), FAC-C, or FAC-COR credentials.
  • Instructional design experience (e.g., ADDIE or similar frameworks).
  • Prior experience supporting Navy or NAVSUP programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build NAVSUP’s OT and CSO curriculum, from foundational instruction through advanced practitioner-level training.
  • Deliver training to executives, contracting personnel, program managers, legal, policy, and other stakeholders.
  • Connect classroom education to the experiential-learning work taking place in the Norfolk pilot office.
  • Partner with the Institutional-Posturing SMEs and the Department of War Acquisition University (WarAU) to build a sustainable, repeatable education program.
  • Help establish an OT/CSO education program that NAVSUP can maintain and scale as the capability expands.
