About The Position

Outside Plant Project Manager Are you a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who thrives on bringing big projects to life? If you have experience in Utility/Telecommunications and a passion for managing projects that make a real impact, we want you on our team! What You'll Do: As an OSP Project Manager, you'll take charge of projects in your designated area, ensuring they're completed safely, on time, and within budget. You'll be the driving force behind planning, execution, and success, tackling challenges head-on while leading your team to victory. Your responsibilities will include: Manage telecommunications infrastructure projects from initial planning through construction completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Conduct project reviews and develop detailed execution plans, including engineering drawings, permitting requirements, construction activities, resource allocation, schedules, and cost estimates. Maintain ownership of project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, revenue reporting, change orders, and invoicing. Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating engineering, permitting, material procurement, construction crews, subcontractors, and customer deliverables. Lead project status meetings and provide regular updates to customers, contractors, engineering teams, and executive leadership. Coordinate with municipalities, utility companies, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project approvals and compliance. Review construction drawings, field reports, and project documentation to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum. Support business development efforts by preparing project estimates, participating in bid reviews, and assisting with proposal development. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams, providing technical guidance and facilitating communication across all project phases. Maintain accurate project records, schedules, trackers, and reporting tools to ensure visibility into project performance and milestones. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards, quality requirements, customer specifications, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience in telecommunications, utility construction, fiber optic networks, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of outside plant (OSP) construction, permitting processes, utility coordination, and construction scheduling.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Project, and reporting tools.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to project sites and customer meetings.
