About The Position

We are looking for an entry-level Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to support basic cabling and infrastructure work connected to a data center. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable doing hands-on work, working outdoors, and learning new skills on the job. No prior OSP or fiber experience is required—training will be provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety‑minded, and willing to perform physical work while developing foundational knowledge of telecommunications and data center infrastructure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable performing physical work, including standing, bending, walking, and lifting
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks
• Basic reliability skills (on time, communicates, completes assigned work)
• Basic computer skills for simple documentation

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic installation and maintenance of fiber and copper cables
• Help route, label, and organize cabling under direction from senior technicians
• Perform simple inspections of conduits, handholes, and entry points
• Support outdoor work related to cabling and infrastructure
• Use basic tools and equipment safely and correctly
• Follow written instructions, safety procedures, and work plans
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements
• Accurately document completed work and observations
• Work collaboratively with teammates and ask questions as needed
