About The Position

Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to primarily support their program. This role focuses on developing secure, innovative methods for collecting and analyzing Publicly Available Information (PAI) while minimizing attribution risks. The specialist will serve as a technical expert in Internet Protocol (IP), networking, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Managed Attribution (MA), helping design and enhance the tools, technologies, and processes used by OSINT collectors to securely conduct mission-critical collection activities. The position is located in Reston, VA, and requires a TS/SCI clearance with the ability/willingness to obtain/maintain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Intelligence Community experience required
  • Must have 8+ years of relevant experience in OSINT technology, networking, cybersecurity, information technology, systems engineering, Managed Attribution, or a related technical discipline
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Internet Protocol, computer networking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and related communications technologies
  • Experience with Managed Attribution tools, technologies, environments, or tradecraft used to minimize attribution and operational-security risks
  • Experience supporting OSINT collection tools, platforms, or technical capabilities
  • Experience developing technical requirements and identifying technical approaches for tools, systems, or mission capabilities
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating the technical, security, and attribution risks associated with online research and data collection
  • Ability to assess technical tools and processes and provide clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience preparing detailed technical documentation, activity reports, assessments, procedures, or other mission-focused reports
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for OSINT collectors, analysts, Government stakeholders, and other nontechnical audiences
  • Experience providing technical training, user support, or subject matter expertise related to secure tools, networks, or data-collection technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a secure, mission-focused environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting OSINT missions within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting Managed Attribution platforms and related operational infrastructure
  • Experience with virtual private networks, proxy technologies, virtualized environments, mobile technologies, secure communications, and network traffic analysis
  • Knowledge of identity management, digital fingerprinting, metadata exposure, browser configurations, and other factors affecting online attribution
  • Experience testing, evaluating, integrating, or deploying OSINT tools and technologies
  • Experience developing OSINT tradecraft, technical procedures, training materials, or user guides
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity controls, auditing, logging, access management, and secure system administration
  • Relevant networking, cybersecurity, OSINT, or information technology certifications, such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, or equivalent credentials

Responsibilities

  • Develop secure and innovative technical methods for collecting and analyzing Publicly Available Information while minimizing attribution and operational-security risks
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert in Internet Protocol, networking, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Managed Attribution
  • Support the design, evaluation, implementation, and enhancement of tools and technologies used by OSINT collectors
  • Develop and document technical requirements for OSINT tools, systems, capabilities, and processes
  • Identify and recommend technical approaches that support secure, effective, and mission-aligned OSINT collection
  • Evaluate technical tools and processes for potential attribution, security, privacy, and operational risks
  • Provide technical guidance on the secure configuration and use of OSINT tools and Managed Attribution capabilities
  • Produce detailed technical reports, assessments, and recommendations for dissemination to Government and mission stakeholders
  • Prepare daily activity reports documenting the tools, technologies, and processes used to support OSINT activities
  • Provide technical input into OSINT Tradecraft Notes and other technical reports, guidance, and mission documentation
  • Support the development and delivery of training related to OSINT tools, Managed Attribution, networking technologies, and secure data-collection methods
  • Provide subject matter expertise and direct technical support to OSINT collectors using tools and technologies for secure data collection
  • Collaborate with OSINT collectors, analysts, engineers, cybersecurity professionals, instructors, and Government stakeholders to identify and address technical mission requirements
  • Remain current on emerging Internet, networking, wireless, attribution, and OSINT technologies, tools, techniques, and associated risks
  • Ensure technical approaches, documentation, and recommendations comply with applicable Defense Intelligence, cybersecurity, operational-security, and data-handling requirements
