This OSHA Associate position can be located at any Jackson Lewis office. The role involves supporting, collaborating with, and guiding clients on workplace safety and health compliance requirements related to federal and state OSHA regulations, and providing support on other labor and employment matters as needed. Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, with exceptional academic credentials
  • OSHA experience required
  • Admitted to practice law in the State Bar of the Associate’s primary office
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team environment

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of employment litigation experience preferred
  • Class action or public sector experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support, collaborate and guide business partners on environmental and workplace safety and health compliance requirements
  • Manage outside counsel and vendors on global EH&S issues and create programmatic opportunities to address risk, including training, policies and processes
  • Develop relationships with regulatory agencies, defend our practices within appropriate boundaries, and work to influence policy development
  • Handle all aspects of litigation relating to matters regarding workplace safety and discrimination matters per OSHA regulations
  • Represent clients in negotiations and mediations
  • Provide crisis management to clients dealing with workplace safety and health matters
