About The Position

Ensures the daily, efficient management of Operating Room supplies, equipment, instruments, and repairs. Processes, tracks, and receives orders and maintains accurate order files. Keeps Operating Room supply storage areas stocked daily with the appropriate amounts and types of supplies. Assists in managing the O.R. Materials Section and works with O.R. staff and other hospital departments to support the overall efficiency of the O.R. supply system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• General experience in a health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operating Room supplies, equipment, instruments, and repairs efficiently on a daily basis.
• Process, track, and receive orders for supplies, equipment, instruments, and repairs.
• Maintain accurate files relating to orders.
• Ensure Operating Room supply storage areas are stocked daily with the appropriate amounts and types of supplies.
• Assist in the overall management of the O.R. Materials Section.
• Work with O.R. staff and other hospital departments to ensure the efficiency of the O.R. supply system.
