About The Position

HP is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead its strategic Microsoft partnership across HP Business Units and Vertical Solutions. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver partner programs and new features to customers and markets. It works across complex technical disciplines and ambiguous situations, using independent judgment to establish goals aligned with HP’s long-term vision. The position involves frequent interaction with senior management at key partners and executive leadership across HP Personal Systems Engineering, Business Units, and Pan-HP teams. The PS Engineering, Integrated Solutions & Ecosystem team coordinates innovation opportunities with partners and aligns external technology roadmaps with HP engineering execution. It works with industry leaders including Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Google, helping move concepts toward market-ready features that deliver customer value. The program manager guides initiatives from ideation through implementation, aligns technical roadmaps with engineering teams, directs proof-of-concept efforts, and communicates program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. The role also evaluates program plans and contributes feedback to improve HP’s program-management framework.

  • Ability to investigate new operating-system capabilities and translate them into platform requirements and product opportunities.
  • Curiosity about emerging technology trends, self-directed learning and experimentation, and the ability to assess technology opportunities, trade-offs, and potential impacts.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of local and hybrid AI architectures, including models, inference runtimes, CPU/GPU/NPU acceleration, memory requirements, model lifecycle management, security, power/performance trade-offs, and cloud/local execution.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI architectures, including orchestration, tool invocation, agent identity, isolation, permissions, context management, local/cloud execution, and operating-system integration.
  • Experience defining representative workloads and analyzing system performance, responsiveness, memory, storage, power, thermal, and compute behavior across CPU, GPU, and NPU architectures.
  • Experience guiding engineering teams in implementing and evaluating proofs of concept to validate technologies, architectures, and user scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead programs involving multiple functions and project teams, from ideation through solution implementation, with defined timelines and resources.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between Microsoft, HP Business Units, and IHV partners, aligning technical roadmaps with engineering teams across disciplines.
  • Guide implementation of proofs of concept by coordinating engineering and other parties, and ensure that learnings are captured and shared.
  • Drive innovation and integrate new technologies and quality initiatives into projects to deliver solutions to market.
  • Develop and direct key milestones, critical deliverables, and program support requirements.
  • Lead and influence efforts across Pan-HP business units so that relevant areas are represented and solutions are implemented using HP’s approach.
  • Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders and executives.
