This role involves tracing freight, which includes searching for missing items, retrieving Proof of Delivery (POD) and Bill of Lading (B/L) documents, and determining shipment delivery times. The position also requires generating exception reports for customers with dropped trailers, reporting to shippers by 0900 the following day. Responsibilities include handling customer and terminal requests via phone and email, gathering information on shortages, missing items, and other discrepancies to identify common issues for the Supervisor. The role also entails contacting customers to verify potential damages, shortages, re-routing, and other delivery-related issues. Additionally, the OS&D Clerk/Administrator will obtain return authorizations or authorizations for re-routing/re-delivery, confirm phone numbers and terms, and manage interactions with upset customers.
