About The Position

NovaCare Prosthetics and Orthotics is seeking a detail-oriented healthcare professional to select, fit, and adjust orthotic devices and educate patients about their use and function. The Orthotic Fitter designs, fabricates, and fits custom orthotic devices to support patients’ mobility and rehabilitation goals, adapting solutions to each patient’s condition and needs. The role emphasizes quality care, positive teamwork, and exceptional patient outcomes.

This is a full-time position in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Compensation is $22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Detail-oriented, self-starting approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exceptional technical ability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an Orthotic Fitter.
• ABC or BOC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and fit custom orthotic devices that help patients achieve mobility and rehabilitation goals.
• Adapt orthotic solutions to each patient's unique condition and needs.
• Maintain an organized workflow to ensure timely patient appointments, fittings, and device delivery.
• Uphold a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and quality care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patients requiring higher levels of care receive appropriate referrals.
• Assist with projects and other responsibilities as needed.
• Educate patients on the use and function of orthotic devices.
• Select, fit, and adjust orthotic devices.
