About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Georgia, covering outpatient clinical services. The role involves evaluating and managing patients with hand, joint, and sports-related orthopedic conditions, developing treatment plans, performing procedures such as joint injections and minor procedures, collaborating with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate medical records in Epic. The coverage period is from August 5 to October 31, 2026, with a Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM shift schedule. The average daily patient volume is 21.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in GA
- BLS certification
- Local candidate
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with hand, joint, and sports-related orthopedic conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform procedures as needed (e.g., joint injections, minor procedures)
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate medical records in Epic
