About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Lincoln, NE. The role involves inpatient coverage, specifically on-call duties, from July 20th to August 16th, 2026. The coverage is supplemental and includes 24-hour shifts. The facility utilizes the EPIC EMR system, and temporary privileges are available, including emergency privileges. The position requires assisting in cardiothoracic surgery cases, including vein harvesting, and first assisting in the Operating Room. The NP/PA will also cover night calls, handle phone consultations, and respond to emergent OR cases. Collaboration with the surgical team and ensuring compliance with facility protocols are key responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Nebraska License or compact license

• Experience with vein harvesting
• Experience in first assisting in surgical procedures
