Requirements

  • Open to experienced orthopedic surgeons or new graduates
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of completing residency
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • DO, MD
  • Physician - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Responsibilities

  • Serve a diverse patient population with strong community connections and a significant need for orthopedic services.
  • Join a collaborative and supportive team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff.
  • Enjoy professional autonomy while benefiting from the resources and stability of a large, integrated health system.
  • Practice at a Level III Trauma Center and the only trauma center in St. Lawrence County.
  • Access to advanced technology, specialty support, and system-wide resources.
  • Perform a broad-based orthopedic surgery practice with a diverse mix of operative and non-operative cases.
  • Perform procedures including: Total joint replacement, Reverse shoulder arthroplasty, Complex fracture and trauma care, Sports medicine procedures, Knee reconstruction and ACL repair, Foot and ankle surgery, General Orthopedic Procedures.
  • Develop subspecialty interests based on training and community need.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, emergency medicine physicians, rehabilitation services, and specialty consultants.
  • Utilize a strong referral network throughout the St. Lawrence Region.
  • Participate in a balanced mix of clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities.
  • Share 1:3 orthopedic call schedule.
  • Provide care at Canton-Potsdam Hospital (primary) and Massena Hospital (secondary).
