About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to offer Per Diem support. This surgeon would have access to an OR for urgent and “cold trauma’ cases in a room reserved for emergent surgery. There would also be time allotted for elective trauma reconstructive practice. There are separate call schedules for Spine and Hand. The practice covers one centrally located ER. Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons with a full support staff including APC’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction.

Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS.
• BC/BE - Completion of an accredited USA residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility.
• New York Medical License (or eligibility to obtain).
• BLS Certification Required.

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training encouraged but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide Per Diem support for Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
• Perform urgent and 'cold trauma' cases.
• Conduct elective trauma reconstructive practice.
• Participate in separate call schedules for Spine and Hand.
• Cover one centrally located ER.
• Interact with Surgical Residents and Medical Students.
