About The Position
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. This position is for an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Shoulder at their Lutherville-Timonium and South Baltimore Medical Centers. MAPMG is physician-led and offers competitive salaries without income based on individual services. The group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties and utilizes a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) for care coordination. Their focus is on long-term health, prevention, and effective disease treatment, supported by researchers and staff who foster innovation and quality care.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship trained in Shoulder Reconstruction and/or General Sports Medicine
- Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
Responsibilities
- A diverse mix of general orthopedic patients in clinic
- Quick ramp up in surgical volume with approximately 60% shoulder cases including shoulder arthroplasty
- Average of one surgical session and 4 clinic sessions per week
