About The Position

We are seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Shoulder Surgeon to join a high-demand, community-based orthopedic program within a leading integrated health system in the Rochester, NY region. This is a true subspecialty shoulder opportunity with immediate surgical volume, strong regional referral demand, and priority access to OR block time and ambulatory surgery centers. The practice is structured to support a shoulder-dominant surgical focus with high procedural efficiency and long-term clinical growth potential. This role offers the ability to build a high-performance shoulder practice within a community-based setting backed by a large integrated system. Candidates will benefit from an established referral pipeline across primary care and orthopedic network partners, high surgical demand with immediate case volume availability, and a flexible balance of subspecialty shoulder surgery and general orthopedics (structured based on candidate preference and department needs). Modern imaging, OR infrastructure, and standardized implant systems supporting complex shoulder care are available.

Requirements

  • Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Shoulder & Elbow Surgery strongly preferred.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Expertise in shoulder arthroscopy, arthroplasty, and complex reconstruction.
  • Interest in high-volume subspecialty practice development.
  • Eligible for NYS medical licensure.
  • DO or MD degree.
  • Must have or be eligible for New York State medical license.
