About The Position
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is seeking a part-time Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Shoulder to join their team at the Lutherville-Timonium and South Baltimore Medical Centers. MAPMG is a physician-led group of over 1,800 physicians serving Kaiser Permanente patients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. They focus on long-term health, prevention, and effective treatment of diseases, utilizing a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) for coordinated care. MAPMG supports research and innovation to ensure quality care and advance best practices. Physicians at MAPMG earn competitive salaries and are not compensated based on individual services. The role involves a diverse mix of general orthopedic patients in clinic, with a significant portion of surgical cases (approximately 60%) being shoulder-related, including shoulder arthroplasty.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship trained in Shoulder Reconstruction and/or General Sports Medicine
- Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered, culturally competent medical care.
- Communicate thoughtfully with patients, including listening, educating, and advocating.
- Perform approximately 60% shoulder cases, including shoulder arthroplasty.
- Manage a diverse mix of general orthopedic patients in clinic.
