Requirements

  • Associates Of Science Nursing
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience
  • Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care.
  • Make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and meticulously implement patient care plans.
  • Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost-effective, quality-driven, and patient-focused manner.
  • Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from the patient, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
  • Perform ongoing assessments, formulate nursing diagnoses and goals, plan appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcome of interventions.
  • Consistently document in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
  • Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families, including information on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision-making, and ensuring patient safety.
  • Use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population.
  • Participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with Outcomes managers and the department.
