Requirements

Associates Of Science Nursing
At least one (1) year of RN experience
Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Responsibilities

Leverage expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care.
Make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, and meticulously implement patient care plans.
Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
Utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost-effective, quality-driven, and patient-focused manner.
Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from the patient, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
Perform ongoing assessments, formulate nursing diagnoses and goals, plan appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcome of interventions.
Consistently document in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families, including information on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions.
Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision-making, and ensuring patient safety.
Use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population.
Participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with Outcomes managers and the department.
