About The Position

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time permanent opportunity specializing in Orthopedic Joint Surgery in the Raleigh and Wendell Falls, North Carolina area. This role offers a balanced combination of outpatient clinic, OR, and inpatient rounding responsibilities within a collaborative orthopedic practice. The position involves seeing approximately 25-35 adult patients per day, with a split of 50% Operating Room and 50% clinic duties. Weekly inpatient rounding is also a component of the role. The practice environment is multi-location, featuring a collaborative team of orthopedic surgeons and APPs, with imaging and outpatient surgical services available. The practice utilizes Athena EMR, and while ultrasound experience is preferred, it is not required. BLS certification is mandatory, and telehealth services are not offered.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Board Certification required.
Active or eligible North Carolina licensure.
BLS certification required.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with orthopedic surgeons and APPs.

Nice To Haves

Orthopedic experience preferred.
New graduates considered.
Ultrasound experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide orthopedic patient care in the outpatient clinic.
Assist with joint surgery procedures in the OR.
Participate in inpatient rounding.
Evaluate and manage orthopedic patients.
Coordinate care with orthopedic surgeons and other members of the clinical team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Provide appropriate post-operative and follow-up care.
Handle office call approximately every 10 weeks, with calls screened by an on-call service and provider returning patient calls only (no hospital consults or in-office visits during call).
