About The Position

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeon to join its growing private practice in Chicago, Illinois. Generalists and surgeons from all orthopedic subspecialties are welcome. The practice focuses on expanding access to high-quality, equitable orthopedic care across socioeconomic backgrounds through an innovative, financially stable care model. The role offers an established case load, diverse and high-volume exposure to orthopedic conditions, and anticipated support from one to three Advanced Practice Providers per incoming surgeon. The practice is launching three new offices within six months and offers opportunities to contribute to clinical research, product development, and team physician roles with major sports teams and local schools. A potential ownership interest is available. The practice also partners with a leading Illinois health system. For hand specialists, proficiency in hand and upper extremity surgery is preferred, and expertise in microsurgical techniques—including complex hand, wrist, and nerve repair—is ideal. Compensation includes a competitive base salary with performance-based incentives. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement plans, a CME allowance, malpractice coverage, a shared call schedule, and administrative and clinical support. The practice uses the EPIC EMR system.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O.
Board-certified or board-eligible in general orthopedics, sports medicine, hand, spine, foot and ankle, or total joint surgery.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois.
