Orthopedic Assistant Coordinator, Surgical Services
About The Position
The Orthopedic Assistant Coordinator is an experienced Operating Room Surgical Technologist who functions in a dual capacity: providing direct clinical support in the operating room while serving as a key partner to the Orthopedic Clinical Coordinator RN in advancing the quality, consistency, and operational reliability of the orthopedic service line. The individual will maintain regular clinical assignments in the OR and participate in standby coverage consistent with departmental expectations. In addition, dedicated time will be allocated to support coordination, education, standardization, and service line initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of scrub experience in orthopedic cases and other specialty areas
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) issued by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Ability to work effectively with many different people in a high-energy environment
Nice To Haves
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred
