About The Position

The robotic coordinator supports services performing robotic procedures, possessing a working knowledge of aseptic technique principles and perioperative policies and guidelines. This role requires knowledge of surgical procedures, human surgical anatomy, and proper patient positioning, along with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team. The coordinator is responsible for the daily support of robotic surgeries, equipment management, serving as the primary contact for all robotic-related inquiries (system, technical, or clinical), and providing clinical troubleshooting during procedures. The robotic coordinator also collaborates with physician and nursing leadership to facilitate educational activities and training for surgical personnel on the robotic system.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare related field
  • Operating room experience (3+ years of successful work experience within the last 5 years)
  • Robotic surgery experience (3+ years of successful work experience within the last 5 years)
  • Minimally invasive surgery experience
  • Adapts to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting
  • Demonstrates patient-centered and customer focused communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and task management skills
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Evidence of proven proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
  • Accepts and supports changes in work assignments as related to departmental and patient needs require
  • Maintains Basic Life Support Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Surgical Tech and/or RN OR Circulating experience preferred in any/all of the following specialties: Urology, Cardiothoracic, ENT, General and Gynecology
