Works under the direction of Physicians as the Total Joint Center of Excellence Coordinator Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients in the clinic and serves to improve system variations and service delivery barriers to optimal patient outcomes post total joint replacement. Provides coordination of care for patients and identifies, participates in, and implements projects for patient teaching and community outreach programs. Possesses the ability to assess data reflecting the patient’s status. Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements concerning his or her age-specific needs. Advocates for patient centered care. Provides the care needed in accordance with the department policies and procedures. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the outpatient clinical setting. Demonstrates the values contained in the Olympic Medical Center mission and philosophy statements. Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing.

Requirements

RN required.
Current Washington State Registered Nurse licensure required.
CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

BSN or equivalent preferred.
5 years of acute hospital care experience preferred.
4-5 years’ experience in orthopaedic setting preferred.
1 year supervisory or program coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities
