About The Position

Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, a well-respected and busy orthopaedic practice, is recruiting for an enthusiastic, full-time Orthopaedic Injection Coordinator looking to unlock their potential and grow by joining our already AWESOME Billing Department located in our North Hills Office (McCandless).

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills via telephone
• Demonstrate the ability to work with others in various Departments, as well as independently.
• Strong computer/typing skills
• Ability to stay organized
• Ability to multitask with a positive and upbeat attitude.
• Ability to maintain Practice and patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of insurances and prior authorization is strongly preferred with the understanding of payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Verifying insurance benefit information for prescription coverage.
• Obtaining prior authorization for each injection
• Submitting prescriptions to specialty pharmacies for processing
• Coordinating the delivery of the medications to the physician offices
• Scheduling patients for administration of the injection
• Providing customer service support via phone for patients and/or insurance carriers
