About The Position
Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, a well-respected and busy orthopaedic practice, is recruiting for an enthusiastic, full-time Orthopaedic Injection Coordinator looking to unlock their potential and grow by joining our already AWESOME Billing Department located in our North Hills Office (McCandless).
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills via telephone
- Demonstrate the ability to work with others in various Departments, as well as independently.
- Strong computer/typing skills
- Ability to stay organized
- Ability to multitask with a positive and upbeat attitude.
- Ability to maintain Practice and patient confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of insurances and prior authorization is strongly preferred with the understanding of payer guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Verifying insurance benefit information for prescription coverage.
- Obtaining prior authorization for each injection
- Submitting prescriptions to specialty pharmacies for processing
- Coordinating the delivery of the medications to the physician offices
- Scheduling patients for administration of the injection
- Providing customer service support via phone for patients and/or insurance carriers
