About The Position

The Orthodontic Manager supports a specialty team by providing proficient, trustworthy dental services and care to patients and communicating effectively and efficiently with team members in alignment with Ideal Dental’s mission, vision, and values. Reporting directly to the Specialty Regional Manager, this role contributes to the patient experience and oversees orthodontic office operations, including schedules, staff, patient finances, and team development.

Requirements

At least 2 years of orthodontics experience.
Experience with treatment plans.
Insurance verification experience.
Experience with digital practice software.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of dental management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly.
Answer phones and schedule appointments with a positive attitude.
Adapt to scheduling changes and communicate changes to patients and staff.
Maintain full schedules and efficient office schedule flow.
Collect patient balances and verify insurance when needed.
Present accurate treatment plans, determine insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility, assist with insurance pre-authorizations, and review financing options with patients.
Review upcoming schedules and audit accounts as needed.
Coordinate patient check-in and check-out.
Perform duties supporting office operations.
Oversee staff, doctor, and patient schedules.
Motivate the team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly revenue goals.
Manage front-office and back-office staff.
Pursue continuous learning and professional development for the team.
Complete reports accurately and on time.
Perform other assigned duties.
