About The Position

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Van Nuys, California, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to patients. The position reports to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant. The pay range is $24–$31 per hour, with a $750 sign-on bonus and monthly bonus opportunities. The role supports the organization's mission to provide high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children. Additional duties supporting the business and its mission may be assigned.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
Current BLS CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW).
Previous experience working in a dental office.

Responsibilities

Provide chair-side assistance to the orthodontist, including fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner.
Collect and record patient medical history in the Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system.
Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and a positive experience for patients and their families.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the business and the mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
