About The Position

Novus Orthodontics in Spartanburg is seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to provide outstanding care to children and their caregivers. The role focuses on creating positive, stress-free visits in a team-oriented, kid-friendly environment and helping children develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.

The position is full-time, with 30 or more hours per week, and offers 8-hour daytime shifts with no nights. Some Saturdays may be required. X-ray and CPR certifications are required. At least one year of orthodontic-practice experience is preferred, but the employer will train the right person.

Requirements

• X-ray certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in an orthodontic practice is preferred; training may be provided to the right person.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program is preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Help ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
