About The Position

Hero Practice Services is seeking a part-time Orthodontic Assistant for Kids Dental Place and Orthodontics in Glendale, California. The role provides efficient, high-quality orthodontic care to patients, with a focus on serving children in underserved communities. The position reports to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and pays $24–$31 per hour, with a $500 sign-on bonus. The assistant supports the orthodontist during treatment, maintains accurate patient records, collaborates with colleagues to provide a positive experience for patients and families, and helps keep the practice clean and presentable. The role may also include other duties that support the business and its mission.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
Current BLS CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW).
Previous experience working in a dental office.

Responsibilities

Provide chair-side assistance to the orthodontist, including fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner.
Collect and record patient medical histories in the Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system.
Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and a positive experience for patients and their families.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the business and the mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
