About The Position

Wichita Falls Orthodontics is seeking a Chairside Orthodontic Assistant to support orthodontic procedures and help provide patients and families with a welcoming, comfortable experience. The assistant will work within the scope of their training and credentials, supporting clinical care, patient education, treatment-area preparation, infection control, recordkeeping, and efficient clinical workflow. Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience is preferred, though the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work well with a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.
• Applicable Texas dental assisting registration and radiography credentials, or willingness to obtain required credentials before performing duties that require them.

Nice To Haves

• Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance delivery, within the scope of training and credentials.
• Take dental X-rays, digital scans, and impressions when qualified and authorized.
• Help patients understand oral hygiene, treatment instructions, and appliance care.
• Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and follow infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support an efficient clinical workflow.
• Create a welcoming, comfortable experience for patients and their families.
