About The Position

As an Ortho Tech at DMOS in Ankeny, you will gather basic information to support Physicians during patient appointments and help create a comfortable experience while ensuring patients are seen in a timely fashion. You will work alongside Physicians and other clinical team members to provide orthopaedic patient care. The role includes greeting and preparing patients for appointments and assisting with casting, cast removal, and wound care. It is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity, with Saturday coverage from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. every 6–8 weeks.

Requirements

• Communicate clearly and professionally; listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting.
• Remain calm and reassure nervous patients.
• Work independently, stay focused, and know when to ask for help.
• Have a passion for patient care and the orthopaedic field.

Responsibilities

• Gather basic information to support the Physician during patient appointments.
• Greet and prepare patients for orthopaedic appointments.
• Assist patients during appointments, including with casting, cast removal, and wound care.
• Work alongside Physicians and clinical team members to provide patient care and help ensure patients are seen in a timely fashion.
• Provide reassurance to patients who are nervous.
