About The Position
The Ortho Tech directly supports orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants in providing orthopedic care to patients in an office setting at the Exeter, Portsmouth, and Dover locations. The role assists providers with patient treatment and communicates with patients by phone and secure messaging about clinical questions or requests for their surgeon or physician assistant.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or Ortho Tech certification program.
- Active New Hampshire Medical Assistant, Ortho Tech, or Athletic Trainer license or certification.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Comfort using the phone and communicating by phone.
- Proficiency using a computer.
- A track record of dependability, including good attendance.
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in multiple roles on a team.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers in treating patients, including casting, exercise programs, navigation of diagnostic testing, and fitting durable medical equipment.
- Respond to patients’ clinical questions or requests via phone and secure messaging on behalf of supported surgeons or physician assistants.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Work in multiple roles on a team.
