About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working with medical providers and the care team, the nurse provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The nurse advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and supports the organization’s mission, values, and goal of achieving positive clinical outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Associate degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), BCLS Instructor, or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in their condition.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care administration thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in response to unintended medication effects.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and address them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology to support understanding.
• Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
