Requirements

  • Technical acumen in the development and implementation of change management strategies for highly complex business projects, and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.
  • Experience ensuring impacted staff are well prepared for changes leading to a successful implementation.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing recommendations, guidance, and support on highly complex, unprecedented issues and efforts to project leadership and executive management.

  • Strong communication skills, able to motivate and influence without direct authority, and tailor messages to varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate, and implement organizational change management plans and strategies , gained through progressive experience leading complex business, process, or technology change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to assess organizational impacts and readiness for change by applying analytical skills such as gap analysis, impact assessment, or root cause identification developed through professional project or organizational development work.
  • Progressive experience coaching and mentoring leaders, supervisors, and staff through periods of change, including the ability to provide guidance on resistance management and adoption strategies , gained through leading change activities on complex organizational initiatives or supporting managers and sponsors during project implementations.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver training and facilitation sessions on organizational change concepts, tools, and methodologies , gained through leading workshops, training programs, or structured group activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate, and audience appropriate written and verbal communications, evidenced by experience preparing professional reports, presenting information, or adapting communication styles to complex topics.
  • Proven ability to use facilitation tools, methods, and meeting technologies (such as Microsoft Suite, Visio, and virtual collaboration tools) to guide discussions, build rapport, and achieve group outcomes in both in person and virtual environments, obtained through experience planning and facilitating structured meetings, workshops, or collaborative sessions in hybrid work settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a hybrid professional office environment, gained through experience adjusting work schedules to meet business demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse internal and external groups and individuals, gained through work requiring frequent communication and customer focused interaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Eight years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: communications, organizational change management, conducting research, conducting business analysis and developing requirements, OR A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, health administration, communications, social sciences, or a related field AND four years of qualifying professional experience as described above.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage organizational change management plans, which may include creation of the project’s Impact assessment, organizational readiness assessment, gap analysis, identified focus areas, change management plans, and other change management tools.
  • Lead or manage identified staff to plan, create, guide, and disseminate activities regarding changes associated with the project.
  • Prepare affected managers, supervisors, and staff for project/change implementation.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership, project managers, sponsors, and subject matter experts to remove barriers to successful changes.
  • Work with business sections and units to identify change management needs, identify potential resistance, and assist in preparing change management mitigation strategies to ensure staff and other impacted parties are prepared for change.
  • Coach, facilitate, and mentor all levels of management through the process of change and guide them in coaching their staff.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to management, internal divisions, and outside organizations.
  • Develop, update, and maintain OCM templates, forms, and resource library for OCM program and self-help resources.
  • Develop and deliver change management training to educate cross-divisional employees, management, and executives on topics such as change management methodology, change strategy, resistance management, and changing organization culture as well as model tools and techniques in Organizational Change Management.
