About The Position
The Patient Support Orderly provides assistance to nursing and testing units and other hospital areas with patient-related activities. Duties include transporting patients, patient belongings, and clinical equipment; lifting and boosting patients; setting up traction; and performing other direct-care activities as trained. These activities may include ECGs, responding to Code Blue and Code 8 situations and other emergencies, and providing post-mortem care and transport. The Orderly also ensures equipment needed by nursing units is properly assembled, cleaned, maintained, and delivered.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Attend and complete MOAB training within the first six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and AED training or certification.
- Previous patient care experience.
