About The Position
The Orderly assists personnel with the daily operations of Surgical Services. The role prepares operating rooms and ensures equipment is functioning properly, helps set up operating room beds and position patients when needed, and may transport patients and floor beds to assigned rooms. The Orderly also transports equipment, specimens, supplies, and medications; assists with operating room cleaning; cleans equipment; maintains the storeroom; and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with needed equipment and ensure all equipment is working properly.
- Assist with setting up operating room beds and positioning patients when needed.
- May transport patients and floor beds to their assigned rooms.
- Transport equipment, specimens, supplies, and medications.
- Assist with cleaning the operating room.
- Clean equipment and maintain the storeroom.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
