This role involves taking room service orders over the phone, answering questions about menu selections, and coordinating with kitchen staff. The Order Taker will also address guest inquiries regarding wine origin, vintage, and style, and log call-back information for room service orders. They will be responsible for notifying guests and management of any service delivery delays and communicating special meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and requests to the kitchen. Maintaining cleanliness of work areas, recording transactions in the MICROS system, completing closing reports, and processing payments are also key duties. The position requires adherence to company policies, safety and security procedures, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. It also involves developing positive working relationships, ensuring quality standards, and performing other reasonable duties as requested.
