About The Position
An Order Selector is responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer order materials in advance of a production line shift schedule. The position will work in a warehouse and production environment, ensuring materials inventory is brought to the production lines timely and efficiently to meet daily customer order demands while maintaining safety, and quality control.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy to prevent errors in order fulfillment
- Physical fitness to handle lifting and moving heavy items, often ranging from 40–100 pounds
- Basic literacy and communication skills to read orders and follow instructions
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse operations
- Successful background check
- Negative drug screen
- Verification of a High School diploma/equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Selecting products from shelves, packing them securely, and preparing them for production and ultimately shipment
- Reading and interpreting customer orders accurately to locate the correct items
- Picking and stacking products on pallets, ensuring the correct quantity and type of items
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, to bring materials to the production lines
- Performing inventory management tasks, including tracking stock movement, conducting physical counts, and reporting discrepancies
- Inspecting products for quality and damage before shipment to maintain high standards
- Labeling, wrapping, and preparing orders for shipment, including applying special packaging like ice or dry ice when required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth inventory supply, warehouse and production operations as necessary
