About The Position

The Order Selector is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and preparing orders for shipment within the warehouse. This role involves operating various types of equipment to move products, ensuring correct items are picked and loaded, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• One (1) to two (2) years related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic scanner technology.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

• Forklift Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pushes, pulls, and steers rolling carts throughout the warehouse for order selection and loading.
• Places product into a cart.
• Operates a manual pallet jack by pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and into trucks.
• Operates an electric “walkie” pallet jack by pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and into trucks.
• Operates an electric “riding” pallet jack by pushing, pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and while loading trucks, which requires continual twisting to look in the direction of travel and continual mounting and dismounting of equipment to pick product onto a pallet.
• Picks product onto a pallet, which requires reaching, pulling, twisting, bending, crouching, and lifting.
• Operates a lift truck for the entire shift (certified order selector).
• Performs routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor/maintenance.
• Moves controls to drive powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
• Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, load inverters, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Applies stretch-wrap under, over, or around unitized skids and boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
• Maintains reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
• Performs all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
