About The Position

Under general supervision, the Order Selector accurately and efficiently selects products in the warehouse and prepares them for shipping by stacking them in an orderly, stable configuration while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role works in a warehouse setting, including extreme temperatures in cooler and/or freezer areas, and requires being on your feet for 10–12 hours daily.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
0–1 year of relevant work experience.
Frequently lift products weighing 10–75 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift and retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
Work in very extreme temperatures, including cooler and/or freezer areas.
Work on your feet for 10–12 hours daily.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
1 year of selection experience.
2 years of consistent work history.

Responsibilities

Read customer orders from a label screen and select products by slot and description.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place products on pallets in the proper sequence.
Attach labels to products.
Operate a two-pallet-length electric pallet jack to travel to the correct slot location and transport products to the dock area for staging.
Handle products with the necessary care.
Report merchandise, equipment, or facility damage to a supervisor.
Perform daily equipment checks.
Assist with facility clean-up and sign off on the daily cleaning area assigned by a supervisor.
Sign in and out for all equipment when used.
Use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
Follow applicable GMP, personal hygiene, and SQF policies and procedures described in the European Imports – Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
Perform other duties as assigned.
